AI and tech glossary: FAQ

What the glossary covers and how to cite it.

Plain-language definitions
What is the AI and Tech Glossary?

A set of plain-language definitions for AI, LLM, cloud and delivery terms that hiring partners and consulting buyers search for. Each term has a short definition, why it matters in practice and links to related articles on this site.

Who writes the definitions?

The glossary is published by Vatsal Shah and draws on delivery work and on the articles, frameworks and playbooks published here. Terms are added as the glossary grows, and the term count on the glossary page shows how many are live.

How are terms chosen?

By search demand from buyers and recruiters, and by how often a term appears in real delivery conversations, for example agentic AI, RAG, evals, guardrails, FinOps and observability. Suggestions are welcome through the contact page.

Can I cite or share a definition?

Yes. Link to the term page and credit shahvatsal.com. Short excerpts with attribution are fine. Republishing substantial content or scraping the glossary requires written permission under the terms of use.

Where do I learn more after reading a definition?

Each term links to related articles, case studies and frameworks. Start with the blog for explanations, the frameworks for decision models and the playbooks for step-by-step execution.
